[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t was a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, filled with parishioners and committed parents, that after a long fundraising campaign are finally seeing the fruits of their labor. This new fellowship center will serve the School and the St. Louis community at large, giving them access to a state of the art gymnasium and a banquet hall for events.
The One Church One Family Capital Campaign celebrates the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new Monsignor James Fetscher Fellowship Center by St. Louis Catholic Church & School located at 7270 SW 120th St, in Pinecrest. The ceremony was held today, Wednesday June 3 at 8:30 AM, with several members of the church and local government figures in attendance. Notable members alongside Capital Campaign Committee members include Bishop Peter Baldacchino of the Archdiocese of Miami, Village of Pinecrest Mayor Mrs. Cindy Lerner, Vice Mayor Mr. Bob Ross, Councilmember Mr. Doug Kraft, Father Paul Vuturo of St. Louis Catholic Church, and Mr. Eddy Garcia, Principal of St. Louis Covenant School.
Also in attendance were 45 students of the school, ranging from the K-8 divisions. The event agenda began with welcoming remarks from Father Paul and Mr. Garcia welcoming the attendees, a blessing from Bishop Baldacchino, and elected officials speaking briefly about the events that lead up to the ground breaking which lead to the ceremony closing out with words from donors Juan and Laura Munilla
