Pinecrest is holding a community photo contest leading up to the opening of The Way We Worked Smithsonian photo exhibit in September.
The Way We Worked explores how work became such a central element in American culture by tracing the many changes that affected the workforce and work environments over the past 150 years. The exhibition draws from the National Archives’ rich collections to tell this compelling story.
Snap a photograph of someone hard at work in the community. The top five photos will be on display at the Village Gardens Gallery for the duration of the exhibit, Sept. 5-Oct. 17.
The contest is open to all ages and abilities. Send high-resolution photos with the photographer’s name and a brief description of the photo to ltoy@pinecrest-fl.gov. To be part of the online gallery via social media, post your photos with the hashtag #TWWWPinecrest.
The contest deadline for receipt of photos is Aug. 26.
