Condo.com, Houses.com and Property.com’s newly designed homepages offer a fresh, easy to use, ad-free experience
New home pages on top real estate portals Condo.com, Houses.com and Property.com, have been launched with a focus on usability, giving users a clearer path to finding information about millions of residential and commercial properties for sale and rent worldwide. The new home pages offer users a clean, uncluttered look and feel, free of advertisements and third-party offers. A rotating selection of exquisite, extra-large photographs serve as the primary background of the page showcasing the interiors, exteriors, and aerial view of homes, neighborhoods and commercial properties.
“We felt it was important to upgrade to a more modern design and simplified layout that is inviting for users to start their searches,” said Jason Seymour – Chief Information Officer of eRealEstate Holdings, the parent Company to the 3 portals. “Providing a refined user experience is always our first goal with the platforms. The recent trend in design is towards larger images, less text and a design that makes the user “feel good”, he added.
Visitors can simply enter data into a large search box overlaid on real estate imagery in the background. The following search options are included on the homepages for the respective portals:
- Houses.com: houses for sale, for rent, in foreclosure and entire communities by name
- Condo.com: condos for sale, for rent, in foreclosure and by the name of condominium buildings
- Property.com: commercial and residential properties for sale, for rent and in foreclosure
The primary navigation on the portals has also been simplified to help real estate searchers quickly find vacation rentals, reviews and mortgage information. User-generated content is now more of a focal point with reviews and news articles prominently displayed on the homepages. Each site has its own category of user reviews / ratings. On Condo.com, reviews are written on condominiums, Houses.com has housing community reviews, and on Property.com you can find neighborhood-specific reviews posted by users.
The new home pages are just one aspect of eRealEstates’ ongoing strategy to ensure their real estate portals are as timely and pertinent as possible in meeting the demands of today’s savvy online buyers, sellers and renters.
