9781634187480medAuthor George Velasco announces the nationwide release of his entertaining new book, “A Coconut Named Jose,” a wonderful story of a love shared by a young boy and his imaginary coconut friend.

“A Coconut Named Jose” shares the interesting tale of a boy named Jose and his best friend — a coconut named Jose, as well. Set in the white, sandy beaches of Costa Rica, the story holds an inspiring adventure that will put their friendship to the test. What is this great adventure and how will it unfold? Who is the tall, strange man with the big black car? What does he want with Jose’s father, the fisherman? What’s going to happen to Jose, the coconut? Come along with Jose, the fisherman’s son; and his best friend, Jose, the coconut; and follow their many adventures in the beautiful coasts of Costa Rica.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com. Velasco has always been fascinated with writing since he was a child. Aside from writing, he also enjoys drawing and painting.

Velasco, who lives with his wife, Mia, in Miami, Florida, is the father of two children, Michael and Nicole. The couple loves to take long walks on the beach with their three dogs: Shiloh, Bonnie and Brosco. This hobby of theirs has inspired Velasco to write “A Coconut Named Jose.” Currently, he is working on two new books, which will hopefully be published next summer.
