Homestead Councilwoman Patricia Fairclough-Staggers paid tribute to the late Bonnie King Moran for her exceptional dedication and unwavering commitment to the community of Homestead by presenting a token of recognition to her family during the June Council Meeting, accompanied by a moving a harmonica performance of “Amazing Grace” by Mrs. Moran’s dear friend and musician, Gunther Karger.
Bonnie King Moran, who moved to Homestead in 1982, immediately embraced her new home and immersed herself in various community initiatives. Whether it was capturing precious moments at local events through her photography or donning themed costumes to support worthy causes, Moran consistently demonstrated her love for Homestead and her determination to make it a better place for all.
Over the years, Bonnie King Moran volunteered tirelessly with esteemed local organizations such as Homestead Main Street, Seminole Theatre, Chapman Partnership, and the Miss Homestead USA Pageant, among countless others. Her involvement spanned diverse causes, reflecting her deep commitment to improving the lives of her fellow community members.
As a native of Homestead, Councilwoman Fairclough-Staggers recognizes the vital role played by individuals who actively support and uplift local organizations. It is in this spirit of appreciation and gratitude that she sought to honor Mrs. Moran’s legacy.
