This event will launch an initiative that leverages County buildings to grow the tree canopy in priority areas.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and District 3 Commissioner Keon Hardemon will join the County’s Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER) and Internal Services Department (ISD) for a tree planting ceremony at the Joseph Caleb Center.

This event launches Mayor Levine Cava’s initiative to plant trees at all County facilities across Miami-Dade—and will kick off a data and user-driven strategy to leverage County buildings in low income and low canopy areas prioritized by the County and key stakeholders—as we work towards our goal of achieving 30% tree canopy coverage.
