Nineteen 8th grade students along with Mr. Fred Truby and Ms. Lisa Colandrea embarked on an exciting trip to Washington D.C. to explore our nation’s capital and the fundamentals of our governmentthrough the Close-Up Program. For four decades, Close-Up has inspired students from allwalks of life to become informed and active citizens. Led by specially-trained instructors, studentsbenefited from the Close-Up Program’s robust curriculum and spent time interacting with their peers from across the country as they visited famous sites including Capitol Hill and Arlington Cemetery.
