The Rotary Club of South Miami will present the 41st annual SOMI Art Fest on Feb. 21–22, transforming Downtown South Miami into a vibrant, open-air celebration of visual art, live music, and community impact.

What began as a small neighborhood art show with just 25 booths has grown into one of South Miami’s signature cultural events, now featuring more than 120 juried artists and drawing 25,000 visitors each year. Proceeds from the free, family-friendly festival fund art scholarships for South Miami High School seniors and support community service projects through the South Miami Rotary Foundation.

The juried art festival showcases work by emerging and established artists and craftspeople from across the United States and Canada, with artwork spanning painting, photography, sculpture, glass, fiber, mixed media, drawing, and 3D art.

In addition to the art showcase, the SOMI Art Fest offers live entertainment on two music stages, a dedicated kids’ fun zone, local and international food vendors, a beer garden, and pet-friendly amenities, making it an accessible and welcoming event for all ages.

A highlight of the weekend takes place on Saturday evening, when featured performer Vivian Valls headlines a live concert paired with a salsa dancing demonstration from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Stella Artois Beer Garden.

The festival takes place along Sunset Drive (SW 72nd Street) between S. Dixie Highway (US1) and Red Road (SW 57th Avenue), adjacent to the Shops at Sunset Place. Admission is free, with convenient access via Metrorail, bicycle, car, on-street parking, and nearby garages.

All proceeds from the SOMI Art Fest support scholarships and community projects through the Rotary Club of South Miami’s Foundation, reflecting Rotary International’s motto, “Service Above Self.”

The SOMI Art Fest is presented by the Rotary Club of South Miami and supported in part by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, Miami-Dade County Mayor and County Commissioners, Department of Transportation and Public Works, and the City of South Miami, among other sponsors.
