The Rise of Secharity Chapter I: Race Against Time

Do you believe in heroes? If you ask me, I’d say hell yeah! They’re wicked cool people with super powers and capes right? I say the best ones are those without superpowers who rely on their own natural talents and wit to save the day.  For heroism lies deep inside each and every one of us, the potential to go from ordinary to become extraordinary. Such was the case for a young girl from South Florida named Charity. Charity’s parents sadly died when she was very young and she was raised mostly by her Uncle Sam, a wise old man who always did his best to instill quality guidance for Charity, but now she was getting older, a teenager trying to discover her own true self, figuring out what her life’s purpose was. But one day it so happened that fate stepped in to help her do just that, as she was riding in the passenger seat of her uncle’s vintage Corvette, Uncle Sam at the wheel. It seemed like just another fun day on the open road, when all of a sudden Uncle Sam passed out at the wheel and the car started to veer off road and the ground ahead led to a cliff with a deep precipice.

“Uncle Sam! Uncle Sam wake up!” But he was unresponsive, time quickly running out as the car sped towards the cliff, Uncle Sam’s foot still on the accelerator. Suddenly without thinking, as if by pure instinct and flexibility, Charity jumped out of her seat and into the driver side, nudging Uncle Sam to take control of the wheel herself, kicking his foot off of the accelerator and hitting the breaks simultaneously. It was no use though, as the quick break only made the vehicle slide further just yards away from the precipice, she suddenly turned the wheel 180 degrees to make the car swerve and slow down, stopping mere inches away from the cliff. She saved both their lives and the car! When Uncle Sam came to, he was dazed and confused, but after Charity told him what happened, he was suddenly grateful he had given her all those driving lessons a year earlier. Charity drove him to the hospital where they treated Uncle Sam back to full health.

“I’m glad you’re ok now Uncle Sam, you gave me quite a scare,” she said. “Charity, you saved my life,” said Uncle Sam. “Actually Uncle Sam, I saved both our lives, and America, and not a scratch on her,” said Charity. America was the name her late aunt had given the Corvette when she and Uncle Sam used to travel the country on road trips. “Thank you Charity honey!  I think it’s about time I turn the wheel over to you, America is yours.” The whole experience, and those words, awakened something inside of Charity, she had always loved helping people, but this entire experience made her realize she wanted this kind of excitement more often, and save America for real! That night she went to work on the car, spray painting her in a beautiful red white and blue stars and stripes design. She decked herself out in blue jeans, a leather jacket, and a single blue mask with white stars over her eyes, calling herself SECHARITY providing both Security and Charity for America and for all those in need! After all, Charity was her real name, and kindness was her game, and it only made her grow in fame! Stay tuned for more exciting chapters of the epic adventures of SECHARITY
