Attention all amateur bakers!
Do you have what it takes to make just about anyone acquire a sweet tooth?
Your chance to put your baking bragging rights to the test is available through Friday, October 22 when this year’s “Miami’s Top Cupcake Challenge” winner will be named from among local entries.
The amazing popularity of cupcakes in recent years inspired this year’s dessert themed competition that will take place at “How Sweet It Is,” cupcake paradise at The Shops at Sunset Place.
All recipe entries must include a brief written concept for the uniqueness of entry, recipe of ingredients with cooking instructions, plus name, address, phone number and email address.
All recipes should be submitted to The Shops Management Office, 5701 Sunset Drive, Suite 350, South Miami, Fl 33143 to the attention of “Miami’s Top Cupcake Challenge” or via email to CMarquez@simon.com.
“How Sweet It Is” will serve up a celebrity-filled panel of judges including: Marybel Rodriguez, CBS 4 anchor/ reporter; Diana Diaz, co-anchor, WSVN Today in Florida; Jewel Figueras, Miami Fashion and Style Examiner blogger; Kathy Martin, Miami Herald Food Editor and Letty Alvarez, baker and owner of LA Sweets.
A selection committee will review submissions to select a limited few to compete as finalists who will be asked to prepare their cupcake concept for live judging at The Shops at Sunset Place at 2 p.m., Saturday, November. 13.
