Family Recovery Specialists (FRS) recently hosted a grand opening celebration at their new facility located at 9350 Sunset Drive. Health professionals, colleagues, and friends were on hand to tour the facility and network.
Family Recovery Specialists provides substance abuse treatment, counseling and consulting to adolescents and young adults. As the name implies, it is the organization’s mission to treat both the person in need and provide support to the families of substance abuse clients.

“We help both the client and their families move to a healthier place in their lives,” said founder and clinical director, Raymond S. Estefania, MS, LMHC, CAP.
The facility provides concierge-style case management – an intensive outpatient addiction and consultation service that stresses the need for family involvement in the recovery of the client, while emphasizing the dignity of the individual. Services at Family Recovery Specialists include evaluations, treatment, intervention and many other addiction and recovery related approaches to begin the process of recovery.

“We team together with you through the journey from intervention to aftercare services in order to restore families and empower the individual in recovery,” said Mr. Estefania.
Mr. Estefania has been an addiction counselor for more than 17 years, working extensively as a drug and alcohol counselor, interventionist and family therapist. His colleagues at FRS include Ana Moreno, MA, LMHC, and Dr. Hugh Humphery. Ms. Moreno is a psychotherapist and cofounder of FRS. She has worked in the field of substance abuse for more than 11 years, focusing on adolescents, young adults and family members. Dr. Humphery specializes in psychiatry and substance abuse disorders and he joined FRS in 2011.
