    SER-Jobs for Progress National, Inc. Election of Officers

      In elections held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 by the Board of Director’s of SER-Jobs for Progress National, Inc., during the organization’s Board meeting, Jerry M. Fuentes, President of Arizona & New Mexico, AT&T, was named Chairman of the Board; Francisco Ivarra was named Vice Chairman; Rosa Rosales was named Secretary; Linda Rivas was named Treasurer and immediate Past Chairman, Joe R. Campos was named Chairman Emeritus.

      Mr. Ignacio Salazar, President and CEO, said, “It will be a pleasure to work with visionary individuals who share a commitment to the mission of the organization.”

      Jerry M. Fuentes, President of Arizona & New Mexico, AT&T, was appointed to the SER National Board of Directors in 2004. In this capacity, Mr. Fuentes leads all legislative, regulatory, and external affairs activities in the two states. Prior to being named president, Mr. Fuentes, was assistant vice president External Affairs, with responsibility for supporting legislative, governmental, regulatory, and community affairs for AT&T’s western region.

      Rosa Rosales, Past National President, LULAC, has extensive community involvement as illustrated by her active participation on numerous civic and non-profit boards, including the current Board of the LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC).

      Linda Rivas, President & CEO of SER Jobs for Progress of San Antonio, an affiliate of SER-Jobs for Progress National, Inc., was appointed to the SER National Board of Directors in 2006. Linda Rivas has committed to securing employment and training opportunities and upgrading the employability of workers in San Antonio, and increasing business and economic opportunities for all members of the community.

      Joe Campos, President of Comunidad Corporation, oversees an eighty-four million dollar corporation in Texas and Mexico. Joe Campos was appointed to the SER National Board of Directors in 2002 and has previously held LULAC Leadership positions for over 36 years.

      In addition, seven new members joined SER-Jobs for Progress National, Inc., Board of Directors.

      Joedis Avila, Community Outreach Manager, Ford Motor Company Fund, has made a career in Corporate Social Responsibility, international business and multicultural marketing. As Manager of Hispanic Community Outreach at Ford Motor Company Fund, he manages Ford’s strategic partnerships with Hispanic organizations and external corporate initiatives focused on Hispanic communities on a national and local level.

      Jose Cela, President, SER-Jobs for Progress, Inc. (Miami, FL), an affiliate of SER-Jobs for Progress National, Inc., serves as an affiliate representative on the Board. He oversees a team of over 130 professional and support personnel operating nine offices across a three-county area.

      Helen Rivas Galvan, is a retired educator and has been a member of the American GI Forum for 35 years, holding leadership positions at the local, state and national levels.

      Margaret Moran, National President, LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizen/s) her community involvement is underscored by her participation on a variety of civic board, including the local Parent Teacher Association, the American Red Cross and Santa Rosa Hospital Children’s Miracle Network, among other non-profit boards.

      Roman R. Palomares, President, Palomares Consulting Group (PCG), a management consulting firm that provides technical assistance to local government entities and Housing agencies throughout the United States.

      Roger C. Rocha, Jr., Rocha Primary Care, Owner/CEO, provides health care services to elderly individuals and Veterans.

      Jose Ruano, Multicultural Relations Manager, MillerCoors LLC, has over 25 years of marketing, public relations and corporate communications responsibilities and has been recognized as an expert in Multicultural consumer segments.
