Select Centers Serve as Drop-Off Locations for Red Cross
Today through September 30, Dadeland Mall, The Falls, Miami International Mall and Coral Square Mall announced they will serve as drop-off locations for the Red Cross in an effort to give back to the community and assist those affected by Hurricane Irma.
Locally, the Red Cross is managing a shelter at Florida International University housing more than 500 displaced families from Monroe County. The centers are working closely with the organization to quickly respond to the needs of individuals, families and communities impacted by the hurricane. All goods accepted will benefit those being sheltered.
“Our thoughts are with all those who have suffered due to Hurricane Irma and its lingering effects,” said Sara Valega, Area Director of Marketing for Miami International Mall and Coral Square. “We’ve received many requests from the community about how they can help Hurricane Irma victims, and we’re glad to offer a way for our customers to assist people in need.”
Dadeland Mall, The Falls, Miami International Mall and Coral Square Mall have also resumed regular hours, offering people a place to visit, take advantage of the many restaurants and services, charge their phones or just take a break from the overwhelming events that have taken place because of Hurricane Irma.
Drop offs can be made at the Mall Management offices at Coral Square Mall and The Falls daily from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and at Simon Guest Services at Miami International Mall and Dadeland Mall daily from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
