South Miami Hospital NICU reunion reunites families and caregivers

The Center for Women & Infants’ Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at South Miami Hospital hosted its annual reunion for former patients and their families on Sept. 16.

The reunion is a celebration of life and milestones, and provides families the opportunity to visit with the physicians, nurses, allied health professionals and support staff who cared for them during their hospital stay.

More than 300 children and their families attended the event where the kids were treated to face painting and fun, interactive activities.

The Molina quadruplets, Valentina, Christian, Angelina and Annabella Molina, shown with mom and dad, were born at 31 weeks of gestation and spent 21 days in the NICU. They are now 21 months old.
