Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade hosted its successful 44th Annual Golf Tournament recently at The Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club. The tournament, chaired by Ben Walker of Cable Connections & Utilities, raised more than $80,000 for the Clubs’ programs.

“The funds raised from the 44th Annual Golf Tournament will contribute to the high quality youth development programs we provide the children in our community,” said Alex Rodriguez-Roig, Executive Director for Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade.

The day began with a putting contest at 11 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m. Participants received a gift bag, complimentary parking, golf carts, range balls, lunch sponsored by McDonald’s and on-course beverages. Following the tournament, Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade and THE COLLECTION hosted an awards banquet and ceremony, which included a raffle and silent auction featuring an assortment of choices from vacation stays, to weekend loans in select Audis, to sports memorabilia. The winning team will now be eligible to participate in the Audi quattro® Cup U.S. Final to be held later this year.

The 44th Annual Golf Tournament was aided by sponsors, such as: Carmen Rebozo Foundation, the Bermont Advisory Group, Matty’s Sports, Ravenscroft, Wells Fargo Insurance, Cable Connections & Utilities Inc, McDonalds, PopChips and Todo Frio, along with many others.
