Rotary Club announces speakers slated for September, OctoberThe Rotary Club of Miami Dadeland- Pinecrest has some exciting speakers scheduled to address the club in September and October.

On Sept. 22, the club will hear from Dr. Azik Wolf, head of the Miami Neuroscience Center and one of the world’s leading authorities on stereotactic radiosurgery. Dr. Wolf’s topic will be “Brain Cancer Deaths Should Be a Wakeup Call.”

Two gentlemen named Martinez will talk to the club in October. Miami-Dade Public Defender Carlos Martinez will speak on Oct. 13, talking about, “Adult Prison is No Place for the Young.” On Oct. 27, the club will meet former FBI agent Sam Martinez, the author of Systemic Evil: MAT PEREZ v. THE FBI.

The Pinecrest Rotary Club is now conducting its Summer Membership Drive. The club is looking for members to fill the open classifications of journalist, dentist, veterinarian, optometrist, chiropractor, psychologist, publicist, computer technician, plumber, printer, architect, electrician, clergy, financial advisor, acupuncturist, automotive mechanic and several attorney sub-classifications.

Comprised of professionals and business executives who reside and/or work in the Kendall/Pinecrest area, the Rotary Club of Miami Dadeland-Pinecrest meets for breakfast on the second and fourth Tuesday morning each month, 7:30-8:30, at the Dadeland Marriott Hotel, 9090 S. Dadeland Blvd., to discuss community service projects and hear an interesting speaker. The organization plans a club dinner and a networking event each month.
