Sunny Isles Beach has a mutually beneficial “Sister City” relationship with Netanya, Israel and may soon have new ones with Taiwan and Italy – but what about some other places that might be perfect for creating even more productive “sisterhood” alliances:
‘Shore Thing’: If Sunny Isles Beach formed a Sister City relationship with the Jersey Shore, that could really help attract a younger population of people dedicated to getting the perfect tan!
‘Aspen Win-Win’: It’s highly likely there are a lot of tourists who wouldn’t mind trading their ski-suits for swimsuits – and forsaking freezing slopes for ice cold tropical drinks. On the other hand, Sunny Isles Beach residents could travel to Aspen whenever they wanted to get a heightened sense of appreciation for never needing snow shovels!
‘California Girls’: Becoming a Sister City with Malibu would be very appealing to west coast guys who might change their tune and start singing: I wish they all could be Sunny Isles Beach girls!
‘Good New York News’: If native New Yorkers knew the Epicure Gourmet Market in Sunny Isles Beach had some of the best bagels and other favorite deli treats, odds are they’d want to join in the Sister City program…As long as Mayor Edelcup could convince Mayor Bloomberg to share booming bagel revenues!
‘Orlando Magic’: A Sister City relationship with Orlando’s Disney World could really help create awareness about Sunny Isles Beach…And with Mickey and Minnie leading the way, everyone would really be “all ears” about the city’s success – worthy of being crowned another “Magic Kingdom.”
‘Run to and from the Hills’: Beverly Hills has mansions and millionaires – and now, so does Sunny Isles Beach! With so much in common, the “rich and famous” would surely appreciate a Sister City relationship – especially knowing the Mansions at Acqualina with an ultimate $40 million penthouse is on the rise – just like the city’s property values!
‘Park Avenue’: Any city around the world recognizing that parks and recreational facilities enhance communities would want to be a Sister City with Sunny Isles Beach – especially ones with names similar to city parks like Pelican Rapids in Minnesota; Heritage City in India; and Town Center City Club in Virginia Beach.
‘Beauty and the Beach’: There are places all around the world recognized for having beautiful beaches that could be great Sister City partners like Barcelona, Cape Town, Honolulu, Rio de Janeiro and Santa Monica – but they’d all have to risk looking more like deserted islands once everyone discovered “Florida’s Riviera” in Sunny Isles Beach – arguably the most beautiful oceanfront city of all!
