More than 600 young leaders gathered at a private home in Golden Beach earlier this month for the biggest-ever Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) Young Leadership Miami Division White Party, which raised over $85,000 to support well-being and educational programs for the brave soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The event included a live band and DJ and a special performance by Miami spray paint artist ATOMIK, who created a live canvas during the benefit that was then silently auctioned, fetching over $1,000.
“This year we’ve seen scores of new faces and we’re on track to improve upon the impressive $400,000 we raised last year,” said FIDF Young Leadership Miami Co-President Jaime Mittleman, of Surfside. “This White Party sold out with more than 600 guests – our largest event so far. I am proud to be working with the most passionate and philanthropic young go-getters in the country.”
Funds raised at the event will go towards the FIDF DIGNITY Program, which supports Israeli soldiers in need with critical aid for basic appliances and furniture, food vouchers, special grants, and holiday gift vouchers, and FIDF’s Amir Course, which helps integrate Ethiopian-Israelis into the IDF, helping them to access more challenging and influential military positions and improve their prospects.
Distinguished guests included Golden Beach Mayor Glenn Singer and Greenberg Traurig Senior Chairman Cesar L. Alvarez.
