Parents and kids line up early outside the gates of Fred Maas Baseball Field at Pelican Community Park on 18115 North Bay Road each year in anticipation of the City’s Annual Egg Scramble. The air is filled with the vibrations of excited children. Then, promptly at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 30, Mayor Norman S. Edelcup will release the crowd and the scramble will be on!

What better way to search for eggs at a beachside community, than to dive and wade through a collection of colorful beach balls! Children under the age of 12, divided by age groups, will hunt for plastic eggs filled with trinkets that have been placed under the balls. A special scramble bag will be given to each participant. After children participate in the egg hunt, they can pose for photos with the Spring Bunny or enjoy activities staged throughout the park with games, rides, music, face painting, and crafts until 2:00pm. Enjoy unlimited carnival rides with Scramble Wristband, FREE with Resident ID Card or $5 without. Wristbands are available at Pelican Community Park for pre sale beginning March 18.

Remember, the egg scramble through oceans of beach balls begins promptly at 10:00 am, don’t be late! Be sure to bring your Resident ID Card for other ‘Resident Only’ privileges. The Special Event Shuttle Bus will run throughout the morning providing residents with transportation to the park and a free gift.
