City of Hope mourns the loss of its beloved regional director, Joan R. Wizner, on May 31, 2012. Joan joined City of Hope in 1999 to manage the Florida office and our Southeast Region following a successful career at the Jewish Federation.
A seasoned professional, Joan was involved in all aspects of fundraising, ranging from event management to the building of donor and volunteer relationships and establishing a noteworthy portfolio of major gifts.
Joan was a truly dedicated employee whose life revolved entirely around City of Hope. Her commitment, vibrant personality and energy will surely be missed. Donations in Joan’s memory may be made to City of Hope, Southeast Region, 1000 Corporate Drive, Suite 260, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33334.
