Thanks to the assistance of residents from a Sunny Isles Beach condominium, Commissioner Sally Heyman has initiated a project to give children used bicycles.

Commissioner Heyman was approached by management of the Winston Towers Condominium, Building 700, and offered the 40 unused bicycles that had been abandoned by owners. The Commissioner with assistance from the Intracoastal Police Explorer Post brought the bikes to Bell’s Bicycles shop in North Miami Beach. The shop is repairing the bikes and Commissioner Heyman will donate them to children through a local nonprofit organization. “I’m grateful to the residents of Winston Towers 700 for recycling these bikes, which will go to children who never had a bike,” said Commissioner Heyman. “Both Winston Towers and Bell’s Bicycles are doing a great thing; providing bikes to children.”
