The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Cultural and Human Services Department is excited to announce the next installment of our Four Seasons Cultural Series, with the Florida International University Studio Jazz Big Band on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. The group, led by Director Jim Hacker, will perform pieces chosen to appeal to all music lovers.
This FREE event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, 2012, from 7:30pm – 9:00pm, at the Norman S. Edelcup / Sunny Isles Beach K-8 School (201 182 Drive). Guests will enjoy this opportunity, to come together with friends and neighbors, meet new friends, and experience an evening designed to enrich our community. Director Jim Hacker will narrate throughout the evening, to provide background and historical information about the pieces. Refreshments will be provided following the performance.
The Four Seasons Cultural Series is brought to Sunny Isles Beach with the commitment to make the classical arts accessible to all ages in our community. Although this is typically a ticketed event, this installment with the FIU Studio Jazz Big Band will be offered FREE, with reservations required. To reserve your seat, please call 305.792.1706.
FREE Parking is available in the parking garage of the Norman S. Edelcup/Sunny Isles Beach K-8 School, along 182nd and 181st Drives, and in the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center parking garage. The city Shuttle Service will be running on a special events schedule throughout the event, beginning at 6:30 PM.
Be sure to join us in May for the conclusion to our Four Season Cultural Series for the 2011- 2012 Season as the City hosts the Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida at the school on Wednesday, May 30 at 7:30 pm. The Ballet is under the direction of Ballet Master Vladimir Issaev and enjoys an international reputation for excellence. Tickets are $10 for Residents and $20 for Non-residents.
