Victor and Zoe Cilli, Sunny Isles Beach residents on recent visit to Croatia posed with a copy of the SIB Sun Community Newspaper as they enjoyed some refreshments. The beautiful city of Dubrovnik in the charming country of Croatia is divided between the “new” section and the Old Town. This “Pearl of the Adriatic” was founded prior to the 7th century and is completely surrounded by an ancient wall made up of an array of forts, bastions, towers etc. Within are amazingly kept buildings consisting of old monasteries, beautiful palaces and dwellings where people still reside today.The Cilli’s are seated at a lovely restaurant where you can see part of the wall in the background. Steep stairs can be climbed to the top which encompasses approximately 2 kilometers around Old Town.They said, “If legs and hearts can take it, it is a fantastic way to get a fabulous view of new and old Duhrovnik in its entirety.”
