Activities planned for the community Jan. 22, 23 and grand opening ribbon cutting

WHAT: CBT College celebrates the grand opening of its sixth location by offering a FREE seminar, Social Media Mastery for Businesses. The presenter will be Manny Sarmiento, President/CEO of New Media, New Marketing, Inc. Attendees will be able to learn all the fundamental basics of social media and how to use it for their company.
The FREE Community Job Fair, hosted by CBT College’s Career Service Department, features a full day of job searching, resume building and interview preparation. Also taking place will be a resume building workshop, offered at three different sessions throughout the day. Confirmed employers for the Job Fair include: Chen Medical, Creative Staffing, Robert Half, Mary Kay, FastTeks, New York Life and Manpower, just to name a few.
CBT College’s grand opening week of events will culminate with its grand opening ribbon cutting. A number of honored guests and elected officials will be on hand to this event taking place on Jan. 24th, which will be followed by an open house and campus tours.
WHO: For more than 25 years, The College of Business & Technology (CBT College) has offered accredited academic and career training throughout South Florida. Founded in 1988, by Fernando and Gladys Llerena, CBT College continues to expand into new communities helping those in Miami-Dade to pursue an education. With five campuses already in Miami, Hialeah, Cutler Bay, West Kendall and Kendall, it will now open its sixth campus in the City of Miami Gardens.

January 23, 2013, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Community Job Fair &. Resume Building Workshops at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. (Each workshop lasts half an hour.)
January 24, 2013, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Open House. Campus tours will take place from 12:30 – 3 p.m.
