Mr .Castro is also a mental health therapist and family counselor, who in his 20 plus years of dedicated service, has worked in helping families who were being torn apart by children who were mentally ill and/or developed drug addictions.

Episode 7’s conversation deals much with the issues and pressures children are experiencing often times having their parents feel helpless and hopeless.  Orlando Castro reveals there very much is hope as long as people know where to look and get past the stigma that seems to hover around the mental health discussions and subsequent search for assessment and assistance.

Conditions such as anxiety, depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and substance abuse are discussed.  Additionally, as “The Silent Struggle” has declared in every episode, and will continue to do so, it is a strength, not a weakness, to look to help oneself in matters such as these.

Orlando Castro, a true advocate for children and their families, who are in the dark area that envelops mental health and substance abuse, speaks from experience and shares his own trials and tribulations.  It is those very same challenges that have enabled him to bring much caring relief to those who come to him for help.
