Vets and Badges: What Does Political Violence Tell Us?

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

“Vets and Badges” host Robert Asencio and Co-host David Magnusson, welcomed former Village of Key Biscayne Mayor Mike Davey to the Miller Brothers Miami Community News Studio in South Miami to have a discussion on political violence and its ramifications as a result of the attempted assassination on former President Donald Trump, three weeks ago in Pennsylvania.

Vets and badges just released a short, over the weekend, on the attempted assassination of President Gerald Ford which happened twice in a period of three weeks in two different cities in California.

The discussion with Mike Davey transitioned into issues of importance as he looks toward August 20th to become the Democratic Party nominee for the November election for Florida Congressional Seat 27.

A number of issues were brought up and Mr. Davey responded to all without hesitation.  A refreshing conversation ensued with an eye to the future as it came back full circle to political violence from a national level to a more local level.

Is there reason for concern?  Does History repeat itself?  Should we, the citizen, be concerned? Alarmed?

This episode will answer some of these questions and hopefully alleviate some of those very spot-on concerns.
