On this episode of The Wonder Woman Show, host Yolanda Carvajal welcomes Amanda Galante. Amanda is president of Canes for Canines and a current undergraduate junior at the University of Miami. There, she is a triple major in political economy, legal studies, and finance.
Canes for Canines is a student organization at the University of Miami dedicated to supporting Miami shelter dogs through adoption advocacy, fundraising, volunteerism, and education. We partner directly with Miami-Dade Animal Services and other local rescues to create real, hands-on impact. That means organizing on-campus adoption pop-ups, coordinating shelter volunteer days, promoting fostering, raising money for urgent medical cases, and building a campus community that actively shows up for animals in need.
