A Holiday Message from the Mayor: Celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

As the year draws to a close and the holiday season begins, I want to take a moment to send warm wishes to everyone celebrating this time of year. Whether you observe Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or simply enjoy the spirit of the season, this is a special time for reflection, joy, and connection with loved ones.

Each of these celebrations brings with it unique traditions and meanings. Christmas is a time of hope and generosity, a celebration of giving and togetherness. Hanukkah reminds us of resilience, courage, and the miracles that light up our lives. Kwanzaa highlights the importance of unity, family, and cultural heritage, celebrating the values that bring strength to communities.

In West Park, we are fortunate to be part of a community that honors diversity and supports one another. This season, I encourage each of us to extend kindness, lend a hand where it’s needed, and embrace the spirit of unity that makes the City of West Park a special place. Small acts of generosity, a friendly greeting, or a shared meal can make all the difference in brightening someone’s holiday.

As we look to the new year, let us carry forward the hope and goodwill of the season. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve a community as dedicated and compassionate as West Park. Together, let’s make the coming year one filled with possibility, peace, and progress.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa, and a very Happy New Year!
