A message from Waste Ppro : 2021 Residential Trash Collection in West Park

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

To all the wonderful residents in the great City of West Park, we want to wish everyone a Happy and safe New Year! In these unprecedented times as families adjust to the new norm of working from home and staying home more due to the Covid-19 pandemic, waste volumes continue to increase significantly. We feel it is important to share some key information about solid waste and recycling services in the City for 2021.

• There is no change currently in the type of materials collected or how to prepare your carts for collection.

• Use the GREY cart for regular household trash.
 If you have items that can fit in the trash cart without the lid needing to be open, then place them in the cart.

• Use the BLUE cart for only recycling materials. Items currently acceptable in blue, recycling carts are:

 All cardboard must be placed inside the cart large flattened and or cut
 Plastic bottles and containers
 Glass containers
 Aluminum and metal empty containers

• PROPER PLACEMENT OF CARTS

 Carts need to be at least 3 feet apart.

• BULK TRASH COLLECTION
 The 2021 Bulk Trash Calendar with dates for bulk trash collection has been provided via flyers mailed to residential homes.

BE ON THE LOOKOUT!

There is no doubt that the Covid-19 Pandemic has had a substantial effect on everyone. Waste Pro has not been immune to this, however our men and women in the field are out providing service daily. With so many unknowns from day to day, it is apparent that increased communication is a must. As such, Waste Pro will be initiating two types of direct communication to the great residents of West Park:

1. For bulk trash service, should there be a need to communicate why your materials are not collected, a courtesy notification will be left at your property explaining the reason and steps being taken to correct this. These circumstances happen infrequently, but when they do it’s important to provide the reason for non-collection.

2. The next item to look out for is a postcard from Waste Pro. With technology similarly used in municipalities known as “Call Them ALL” Waste Pro will have the ability to provide key information regarding services to a specific geographical area for residents affected by delayed service. West Park residents, WE NEED your help to get this off the ground, so please register! The postcard you will receive soon should be filled out with the address and an important phone number so we can provide information if the need arises. Once the postcard is mailed back, via the paid postage provided, we will begin to import your information into the program database.

Once again thank you for your time and patronage as we continue to serve the great City of West Park!
