The City’s After School programs are in full swing! The daily programs implementation includes academic support, healthy meals and snacks, nutrition and fitness activities, cultural arts and activities, enrichment activities, project based learning activities, and career exploration opportunities. Since the beginning of the school year’ the children has had opportunities to learn and participate in different activities that reinforce learning. In addition to homework assistance and academic supports, the children engaged in painting, dancing, theater, outdoors games, and educational enrichment activities and field trips.
Since the City’s programs are open during many of Broward County School’s administrative closures, the children have opportunities to attend some fun and educational field trips during the school year. Recently a group of children went to Extreme Action Park during a Teacher’s Planning Day.
