March 2025

Saturday, March 1st; 2PM-3PM. Build & Learn. Registration required. Practice engineering principles with blocks, strawbees, Legos, and more! Recommended for ages 6 to 11. First Saturday of each month.

Monday, March 3rd; 6PM-7PM. Chess for Kids and Teens. Registration required. Learn how to play and practice. This Program is for all Level chess players. Now first and third Monday of Each Month. Recommended for ages 6-18.

Every Tuesday, 10:30 AM – 11:20 AM. Toddler Storytime. Ages 0-3. Registration required. Stories, songs, and rhymes for ages 0 to 3 years old with parent and caregiver. Includes 20 minutes of play and social time. 

Every Saturday; 10:30 AM-12PM. Free Play Extravaganza. Ages 3-5 years old. Registration required. Bring your children ages 3 to 5 years to participate in this passive and self-directed pop-up style program. Educational toys will be provided for families to play together in the youth area.

Wednesday, March 5th; 3PM – 4:30PM. Broward County Property Appraiser: Exemption Applications. No registration necessary. Apply for the Homestead Exemption and learn about additional exemptions with the Broward County Property Appraiser. 1st Wednesday of the Month.

Saturday, March 8th; 3PM-4:00PM. Latin American Poetry / Tertulia de Poesía Latinoamericana. Celebren el Día Internacional de la Mujer junto a poetas y escritores que presentarán poesias de mujeres íconos de la poesía latinoamericana. Celebrate International Women’s Day with poetry in Spanish. 

Monday, March 10th, 6PM-7PM. Dominoes Social. Registration required. Have fun playing dominoes with friends and family! Recommended for ages 6+. 2nd Monday of each month. Dominoes are a fun traditional leisure activity in many Caribbean countries. Recommended for ages 6 and up.

Saturday, March 15th, 2PM-3PM. Trivia for Kids! Test your general knowledge! A family event. Registration required. Come with your family & friends to play a Kahoot! trivia for kids where we will be covering various topics from science and history to pop culture & animals. Bring a fully charged device to play!

 Monday, March 17th, 6PM-7PM. Chess for Kids and Teens. Registration required. Learn how to play and practice. This Program is for all Level chess players. Now first and third Monday of Each Month. Recommended for ages 6-18.

Saturday, March 29th; 2PM – 3PM.  STEAM & Discover! Ages 3 to 5. Registration required. Spaces are limited. No walk-ins. Join us to explore and discover exciting STEAM topics every month! For kids ages 6 to 11 years old. Every last Saturday of the month. March’s activity will be Shark Bites.

Monday, March 31st; 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Book Club for Adults. “Framed” by John Grisham & Jim McCloskey Registration required. Join us for a discussion of America’s criminal justice system viewed through the struggles of 10 wrongfully convicted people to achieve exoneration.

In celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, join us to listen to the cool and hot sounds of jazz songs from Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, and the United States! This program is presented by South Florida Instrumentalist and Composer, Emily Isabel Kennedy.

Saturday, April 26; 2PM – 3PM.  STEAM & Discover! Ages 6 to 11. Registration required. Join us to explore and discover exciting STEAM topics every month! For kids ages 6 to 11 years old. Every last Saturday of the month. February’s activity will be perler bead creations!

Monday, April 28th; 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Book Club for Adults. “Dinner For Vampires” By Bethany Joy Lenz. Registration required. Join us for a discussion of an actress, known for her role on “One Tree Hill”, describing her time in a cult and how she stepped away from it.

Wednesday, April 30th; 4PM-5PM. Day of The Children Craft Party! Registration required.  Celebrate Día de los Niños/El Día de los Libros (Day of the Children and Day of the Book) with a craft.
