At the November 1, 2023 and December 6, 2023 Commission meetings, the mayor and City Commission presented various commendations and recognized the following individuals and groups: Ms. Erma Glinton, honored as 2023 West Park Pioneer Nominee by the Broward County Historic Preservation Board; the City of West Park District 1 Explorers; Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway Sponsor, Lamaz Trucking; Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway volunteers; and Dodgeball Championship Tournament winners. Also, a commendation was presented to Deputy Andrew Zepeda in recognition of his heroic acts of bravery.
