The upcoming District 3C Water and Sewer Improvements project is initiated by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. The mission of this project is to enhance the water and sewer infrastructure within the region, specifically targeting areas in the City of Hollywood and the City of West Park. The goal is to ensure reliable water supply and wastewater management services to the community.
The portion of work within the City of West Park will involve the installation of a new force main along SW 56 Avenue from Pembroke Road to SW 18th Street and along SW 18th Street from SW 56th Avenue and SW 54th Avenue. Also included will be the rehabilitation of Master Pump Station 320 located at 5400 Pembroke Road, West Park, FL 33023.
Work is expected to commence by summer 2025 and should be completed and fully restored before the end of the year. While traffic and private property access is expected to be maintained throughout the duration of the project, there will be lanes closures and detours during major utility installations within the work areas. All disturbed asphalt pavement, sidewalk, driveway approaches, and swale areas shall be restored by Broward County.
