Fourth of July Greetings!

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On July 4th, we thank everyone who does so much each and every day to defend our country, to defend our freedom, and serve their communities. We are grateful to our armed services. We are grateful to our military families. We are grateful to our veterans. And we are grateful for all our citizens who make West Park and our country special.

Without you, we could not enjoy the incredible blessings that we do in this country on Earth. I’d like to encourage all West Park residents to cooperate in making this one of the safest and most enjoyable Fourth of Julys ever! Independence Day has always had special significance in our city. All of us are blessed to live in the greatest city, county, state and country that the world has ever known.

Let’s all work to keep the spirit of mutual respect and love of country alive, not just on Independence Day, but year-round in West Park.

As you enjoy this holiday with family and friends, I hope you will take a moment to recognize how fortunate we are to live in this country, this state and this very special city.

West Park is a community with safe clean neighborhoods, beautiful parks and excellent surrounding schools. This high quality of life doesn’t just happen. It is residents working together to make life better for all.

So, I just want to wish you the happiest 4th of July and remind ourselves that freedom is not free — it’s paid by all the folks who serve our community and country in so many ways in making our world a better place. We want to thank those who aren’t with their families on this holiday because they’re serving overseas. We want to especially remember them.

Have a safe and fun July 4th and summer!
