Free bus service proposed for West Park

On April 16, 2014 the City hosted a Public Meeting to discuss plans to partner with Broward County Transit to provide a free bus shuttle service within West Park. Several residents from West Park’s neighborhoods attended to learn about the proposed routes, ask questions and provide input. Also present at the meeting were the mayor, vice mayor, Commission members and representatives from Broward County Transit. W. Ajibola Balogun, City Manager, gave a presentation outlining three proposed routes.

Based on feedback provided from residents, the decision was made to offer service along the route illustrated below (Option 2). With this proposed route the shuttle would operate four cycles, for five hours a day, five days a week, and will travel by various points of interest including:

8. Winn Dixie
9. Boys and Girls Club
10. SW 40th Avenue & Pembroke Road
