It is with pleasure that I reach out to you and wish you a Joyous Holiday Season. Everyone is working hard in their area of expertise.
We gave you a commitment since the City’s incorporation in 2005 and in return you gave us a chance to serve as your commission – for that I say
“Thank you”.
We started this year energized with a list of major goals to fulfill. It is my pleasure to announce that the goals were accomplished, plus more.
As we plan our holiday events and annual activities, I’m also working with the commission to continue the Relay for Life event.
On October 17, 2012, the commission adopted resolution number 2012-113 to formally support and co-sponsor the Relay for Life event. So, we need volunteers to serve on the Relay for Life committee.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the Martin Luther King, Jr. events and parade from January 18, 2013 through January 21, 2013. We hope you can attend to enjoy the festivities that have been planned with you in mind. I also want to extend my gratitude on this year’s presidential election. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would be proud because it’s wonderful to see that our community was well represented.
In February, I will be announcing “Meet & Greet” session to get to know you and address your concerns. The details of the session are currently being worked out. Meanwhile, if you have ideas, don’t hesitate to call me
