The City of West Park Social Services Division continues to provide quality services to enrich the lives of our children and their families.
Some of the activities we engaged in during the past few months, include the MLK Action Committee and City of West Park Martin Luther King Day Celebration and Parade, field trips, cultural activities, tennis, and other recreational activities.
Considering the City’s program uses a holistic approach, we also have activities that support the entire families either internally or through our collaboration with various community partners.
The City’s programs’ provide safe, positive environment for children that enhances academic performance, supports social, emotional and physical development and strengthens positive peer relationships that contribute not only to children’s satisfaction with programs, but also their academic performance, behavioral functioning, and social skills while out of school. The program is offered in a clean and safe environment where students are able to experience high-quality cultural arts programming, swimming, field trips, healthy meals and snacks, field trips, project based learning, nutrition and fitness activities, cultural arts and enrichment activities.
The program is FREE for students residing or attending school in Broward County and/or surrounding areas. The programs are administered at Mary Saunders Park Monday through Friday 2:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 8:00AM to 5:00PM when schools are closed.
Registration for our summer camp begins in March 2025. We have limited spaces and accept students on a first come first served basis.
