The pandemic can’t stop excellence in academic learning at Watkins Elementary School! It’s crunch time for students in grades 1-5. First and Second grade students recently took their very first checkpoint assessment in Reading. This helps prepare them for their End of the Year Reading Assessment. Students in grade 3-5 are reviewing multiple standards in Reading and Mathematics. It’s hard to believe, the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) is around the corner.
Six 5th grade students were selected to participate in the Second Annual Vocabulary Challenge. They were chosen because of their high academic achievements in English Language Arts. This event will take place on February 25, 2021.
Watkins Elementary is so proud of its students’ continued success despite all the challenges faced throughout this school year. As you might know, Watkins has opened its doors for more students which has improved the school’s overall student learning experiences. With that being said, a family at Watkins received public recognition for Families Excelling in eLearning.
THANK YOU to ALL Watkins Elementary families for their support and hard work to keep education first no matter what conditions we are living in.
