State Representative Shevrin Jones opens district office in the City of West Park City Hall. Florida House District 101 is comprised of West Park, Pembroke Park, W. Hallandale, E. Miramar, W. Hollywood and E. Pembroke Pines.
It’s an exciting time for our office and we are looking forward to serving the people of this great district. Since the election, we have been going out and meeting the people that comprise our community.
We look forward to canvassing the neighborhoods in the coming months to hear directly from the people about their concerns and how I can best serve them in Tallahassee.
Our district has faced some tough economic times, but together we can begin the process of moving our state forward. By putting constituents back to work and providing assistance to local and small businesses.
During the upcoming legislative session, I was appointed to the following committees: Choice & Innovation, Health & Human Services, Healthy Families, Insurance & Banking, and Veteran & Military Affairs.
To assist in this process, I have appointed Christopher Pitts as my Chief Legislative Aide. Chris has a very diverse background with working several years in healthcare and state government.
He received his Master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida International University and Bachelor’s in Political Science from Florida State University. Locally, I have appointed Mr. Debon Campbell as my District Aide, who is a recent graduate of Morehouse College, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Mr. Campbell has a unique background, having worked several years for the Georgia Senate.
