Welcome back seniors!

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

After a year-plus closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of West Park Senior Program officially reopened on June 14th. City staff implemented several changes to better serve our participants by installing safety equipment to keep everyone safe, as well as getting seniors comfortable with returning to the center by resuming normal activities such as chair yoga and bingo. On our first day back we invited Memorial Hospital staff, who came and presented the seniors with new ideas on how to keep themselves safe from the coronavirus and how to slow the spread of the virus. We also discussed hurricane safety procedures.

The Senior Program is currently open for registration with social distancing measures in place to keep everyone safe from virus exposure.  Below are pictures of a few of the activities participants have enjoyed since returning to the center at McTyre Park.  If interested in learning more, please contact Ms. Jimmisha Sampson (Senior Program Coordinator) at (954) 964-0284 or email: jsampson@cityofwestpark.org.
