West Park Residents, We Heard You!

Miami's Community Newspapers

As many of you are aware, I spent the last 30-plus days collecting feedback, comments, and suggestions from residents of West Park. My goal was to identify those issues that residents in all four corners of our city would like to see addressed. Our neighbors from Carver Ranches, Lake Forest, Miami Gardens and Twin Lakes provided their feedback by coming to my campaign office, calling my campaign office, and/or speaking with me or a team member directly as we walked our entire City.

During the campaign, I promised that at 12:00 midnight on Wednesday, I would forward your input to the City’s leadership. I am pleased to inform you that at exactly 12:00 midnight on Wednesday morning, I sent an email to the City Manager, the Mayor and other City Commissioners containing all of the feedback I received from all of the neighborhoods I visited. The City Manager has already reviewed the full list and has started acting upon your suggestions. In fact, our full commission is thoroughly committed to ensuring that our residents are heard and your issues are addressed.

To see the full list of feedback, comments, and suggestions from residents of West Park (grouped according to the neighborhood where the residents lived that provided the input), please visit the website at www.westparkisonecommunity.com. I will periodically post updates on the progress made towards responding to your input. You will also be able to provide additional input and comments via a community blog section on the site.

Again, please visit www.westparkisonecommunity.com (www. west park is one community .com) frequently to track our progress and provide any additional input you think would help me to serve you better. I urge all of our residents to stay informed and stay involved!

Please feel free to contact me with your questions or concerns. I can be reached by phone at 954.364.4454 or via email at bjohnson@cityofwestpark.org.
