Wine Week at Piazzetta Marketplace and Restaurant at Acqualina Resort & SpaAs we approach the spring season, Acqualina Resort & Spa is rolling out an exciting event lineup at the ultra-luxurious Sunny Isles Beach resort. From Monday,March 18 to Friday, March 22, Acqualina will host Wine Week at Piazzetta Marketplace & Restaurant featuring Chef Michele Mazza, Corporate Executive Chef of Il Mulino New York. Guests will have the exclusive opportunity to meet Chef Mazza and taste his brilliant cuisine as he makes a special guest appearance during dinner seating on Monday, March 18th and lunch and dinner seating on Tuesday, March 19th.

Diners will have the choice of savoring dishes from a special menu curated by the renowned chef or delectable favorites from Piazzetta’s latest menu. Chef Mazza’s prixfixe menu consists of: Antipasti, Smoked Mozzarella, Bresaola, Melon, Mixed Greens, Pasta, Miniature Manicotti with Spinach, Mascarpone and Tomato Bechamel, Entrée, Grilled Salmon and Broccoli Rabe, and Dessert, Homemade Gelato with Fruit Salad, for $45 plus tax and gratuity. Dinner seating will be available on Monday, with lunch and dinner seating available from Tuesday through Friday.

While sharing in a delicious taste of Italy, guests will enjoy a stimulating collection of Italian wines with complimentary tastings presenting a new theme each day including crisp to light, sweet to dry and full bodied to light bodied. A Wine Expert will be available to enlighten the experience and offer a sensory experience for your palette. Sampled wines will be available for purchase at a ten percent discount during the day of the sampling. Piazzetta’s Wine Corner features a collection of Italian current wines including Chianti Classico’s and Brunello’s from Tuscany, as well as a wide variety of wines from around world with an emphasis on private vintages.

The wine week schedule is as follows: March 18 – RedWines from Northern Italy; March 19 – Chianti; March 20 –Wines from Southern Italy; March 21 – White Wines from Northern Italy; and March 22 – Tuscany.
