proud of the family activities that our library system provides to the community. For instance, the West Dade Regional Library in Westchester is more than just unique building featuring lush indoor gardens and huge, sun-lit windows. It is the lifeline or community center for the residents of Westchester. With its frequently changing exhibitions and displays, numerous study nooks, cozy story telling/puppet theater, and roomy programming, the library is the place to be.

The 54,000 square-foot library is the second largest in the County. The West Dade Regional library houses computers with the latest online databases, the library catalog, interactive games for children, resume building kits, and lots of other software. Our collection includes over 200,000 books as well as videos, CDs, magazines, and newspapers. One special area is our large Spanish language collection. With over 25,000 titles, it appeals to a wide variety of people. Children get special treatment at the West Dade Regional Library, too. In our upstairs children’s department decorated in a bright rainforest theme, they will find a full range of fun and educational programs to encourage them to be lifelong readers.
