Wellspring Counseling, Inc., a full-service, non-profit mental health counseling organization, today announced that Dr. Leigh Byers has been named Executive Director.
Dr. Byers will manage the day-to-day operations of the organization’s four locations, working directly with Wellspring’s President, Tova Kreps, LCSW.
With her vast experience in non-profit management, Byers will also look to advance Wellspring’s current mission of inspiring holistic and healthy transformational change for the present generation and generations to come.
For the past 15 years, Byers has served as a Ministry Director, specialized in programs for women, children, and families, at Wayside Baptist Church, working in program development, capacity building, marketing and implementation, and communication and promotion for the church’s numerous ministries.
“It is truly wonderful to have someone with Leigh’s broad range of skills and experience join Wellspring,” said Tova Kreps, Wellspring President. “As we look to the future there is no doubt Leigh will be an integral part of furthering our ability to serve our numerous constituencies.”
Byers has served as a board member of several local nonprofit organizations including Wellspring Counseling.

Dr. Byers has a Doctorate of Business Administration in Leadership from Walden University, a Master of Arts in Management & Leadership from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs from Rollins College. She completed her doctoral study titled “Succession Planning Strategies of Faith-Based, Nonprofit Leaders of the Boomer Generation.”
