All good things come to an end, and the Miami Symphony Orchestra and its music director and conductor Eduardo Marturet are have announced the final concert of this season. The Great 3 B’s – Grand Season Finale will be taking place on Sunday, Apr. 28, 6 p.m., at the Adrienne Arhst Center – Knight Concert Hall and the community is invited to join in for a very special evening.

Known as the greatest composers in music history, Beethoven, Bach and Brahms — or commonly referred as “the great 3 B’s” — their masterpieces have inspired the orchestra to produce this magnificent closing concert and put together a fascinating program. Young Venezuelan guitarist Miguel Barreto will begin the night with a world premiere — Bach’s Electric Journey for Electric Guitar and Orchestra. This work was arranged by Barreto’s father and MISO composer in residence, Tarcisio Barreto.

Later, 17-year-old aspiring pianist Ethan Ford, winner of the Steinway & Sons international piano competition, will delight the audience with his interpretation of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Op. 37. Ford originally was taught how to play the piano (and music as a whole) by his grandmother and has participated in multiple musical events including recitals, masterclasses, and major competitions. He plans to attend either the University of Miami or a major conservatory in New York or Boston to continue his education.

The night will close with the beautiful and emotional melody of Symphony No. 3 in F major, Op. 90 by Brahms which will leave the public speechless as it’ will create expectations for the next season and all the surprises it will bring.

With a new headquarters in the Miami Design District, MISO is Miami’s hometown professional symphony and a valuable contributor to Miami’s cultural fabric. With 80 professional musicians selected from around the world, The Miami Symphony Orchestra represents the exceptional talent and diversity that mirrors South Florida’s international and multicultural richness making it a source of growing local pride and support.
