Celebrate Father’s Day at the Deering Estate, 16701 SW 72 Ave., and enjoy a Father’s Day Fishing Cruise on Sunday, June 16, from 1 to 4 p.m.
The Pelican Skipper pontoon boat will depart from Deering Estate for a three-hour fishing trip. Deering Estate staff will educate guests on fishing techniques, sea birds and sea mammals throughout the trip.
It is encouraged for guests to bring their own rods and tackle. Bait will be provided and a limited number of rods.
Cost is $45 per guest and tickets can be purchased online or by calling 305-235-1668, ext. 233.
The Deering Estate preserves the 1920s era Miami estate of Charles Deering, Chicago industrialist, early preservationist, environmentalist, art collector, philanthropist and first chair of the International Harvester Company. The Deering Estate is a 21st Century house museum, cultural and ecological field station, and a national landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places, owned by the State of Florida and managed by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department.
