Heroes don’t always wear capes. Sometimes they wear boots and uniforms. Other times, they can be caught in skydiving gear and sports cars.   On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, The Veterans Trust and The Human Baton will enthusiastically join together to present ‘Tribute to America’s Heroes’, a high-energy exhibition taking place over air, land and sea.

“Since 2013, The Veterans Trust has brought organizations and resources together to solve friction points experienced by service members, veterans, first responders and families. Through collaborative strategies and unique experiential events, The Veterans Trust enhances opportunities and programs, which ultimately, enables effective and streamlined solutions,” says Executive Director Fred Roger of The Veterans Trust. The co-founder of The Human Baton’ and event producer for the Tribute to America’s Heroes’, Stev Stephens, shares how he is looking forward to “the beautiful sandy oasis of Fort Lauderdale Beach and how it will set the stage as our heroic local first responders serve as The Human Batons”.

This partnership with the prestigious racing organization, The Human Baton, is aimed to further bridge the gap of appreciation and respect between the community and their own local heroes.

Fort Lauderdale Beach is the host for The Human Baton’s ‘Tribute to America’s Heroes’ event on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 12 noon – 6 pm at the Las Olas Oceanside Park. The organizations will, first, honor those who serve our country and give special acknowledgement of First Responders. Shortly after, the sporting events will commence.

The events will feature representatives from law enforcement, local fire rescue, the military and community heroes to compete in four separate teams. With great fortitude, these teams will participate in skydiving from aircraft, Thundercat boat exhibitions, and car drifting with GT sports cars around Las Olas Oceanside Park and SR A1A.

Meanwhile, families can also choose to indulge in a variety of other ongoing activities: a family-friendly kid zone hosted by FLIPANY, an array of amazing food vendors, informational resources about our military and first responders, video game trucks and simulators from local US Military organizations, and a VIP section that will serve delicious cocktails. This event offers something for all ages.    As the date for The Human Baton’s ‘Tribute to America’s Heroes’ quickly approaches, it is anticipated that it will truly be an unforgettable event.

Admission to The Human Baton’s ‘Tribute to America’s Heroes’ is free and open to all, but registration is recommended at www.theveteranstrust.org/911-tribute
