An epic Evening Under the Zodiac Oct. 23
Greek is the word. On Saturday, October 23rd, Coral Gables – the cradle of civilization in Miami – will once again play host to an epic in-home entertainment and fine dining experience benefitting the Coral Gables Community Foundation and honoring individuals, families and organizations of Coral Gables finest with an epic toast celebrating their Herculean deeds.
A Gables Odyssey, is the Foundation’s most important annual fundraiser, supported this year by Presenting Sponsors Trish and Dan Bell. The Foundation’s time-honored gala has been transformed into a “Homeric”, in-home entertainment and fine dining experience where the City’s most gracious hosts and hostesses open their exquisite homes and gardens in support of the Coral Gables Community Foundation.
This year, the Foundation pays tribute to deserving pillars of the Coral Gables community: Brian E. Keeley for the Legacy Award presented by Trish & Dan Bell, the Foundation’s highest accolade; the Education Award to the Mas Family; Lee Schrager will receive this year’s Arts & Culture Award presented by Ray Corral & Mosaicist; Nancy Hector will receive this year’s Philanthropy Award; the Community Award will be presented to Jim and Deborah Davidson; the Coral Gables Garden Club is the recipient of the Gables Beautiful Award and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty will receive the Landmark Award.
Our own Greek Goddesses, Co-Chair and Coral Gables Community Foundation board member, Sissy DeMaria Koehne, who has chaired the annual fundraiser for the past seven years once again partners with Lauren Harrison Brown for the fourth year in a row to present an unprecedented evening under the Zodiac.
“Last year’s at home dining experience, Le Art d’ Recevoir rallied all of Coral Gables and set the precedent for how non-profits can successfully pivot during a pandemic. We safely and successfully raised nearly $500,000. This year we once again honor Coral Gables’ finest and look forward to inspiring our guests to costume up for an epic and intimate culinary journey to the land of Skorpios” said DeMaria-Koehne.

We look forward to once again celebrating safely among our closest friends and family while we toast the City we all love so dearly,” said Mary Snow, President &CEO of the Coral Gables Community Foundation. “It is a privilege to honor those leaders who every day carry the torch for Coral Gables.”

A Greek Odyssey will begin at 7PM on Saturday, October 23rd at exquisite homes across Coral Gables and at Sea Grill Merrick Park. Attire is Toga, Gods, Goddesses and Warriors. Tables start at $3,500 and range to $8,000.
