Jasmine Frazier has taken on the newly-created position of Director of Communications for The Center for Jewish Life and for Beth David Congregation, to implement marketing strategies and formulate entirely new branding for both entities.
Frazier has long been involved in Miami’s bustling non-profit world. In addition to running her own consulting firm, Frazier most recently served as Events Planner for Baptist Health Foundation and Marketing, Communications & Social Media Specialist at Gulliver Preparatory School. She is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology and of Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
The Center for Jewish Life and Beth David Congregation together represent Miami’s oldest congregation and its newest Jewish facility. While they are interrelated, they are also, each, unique. Finding someone who could take on the task of being able to serve both institutions was quite a challenge.
“We were thrilled when we met Jasmine. Honestly, we couldn’t believe that one person could bring so many talents to the table, but she does,” enthused Karen Coppa, chair of The Center’s capital campaign. “We are excited to entrust our communications in her capable hands.”
The Center and Beth David are both important chapters in Miami’s vibrant Jewish community. Beth David Congregation has played a vital role since it was founded in 1912. Now, The Center will join Beth David in taking care of the community spiritually, culturally, and practically, for the century to come.
The Center is such a compelling project that, in 2021, it received a historic $10 million anonymous gift that made it the beneficiary of the largest donation to any non-profit ever made in the history of the Miami Foundation’s Give Miami Day.
“It’s a beautiful process, with lots of people investing their hearts, beliefs, talents, and money to make sure that Miami’s Jewish community continues to be well served. We feel so fortunate to have found Jasmine. We know that she’ll be able to convey what we are accomplishing at both Beth David and The Center.” explained Beth David Congregation Rabbi Julie Jacobs.
Beth David Congregation is located in the Roads area of Miami, minutes from Downtown Miami, Brickell, Key Biscayne, Coconut Grove, and Coral Gables. Between its inclusive, diverse congregation and its central location, Beth David is the heart of Jewish Miami.
The Center for Jewish Life will be a spectacular campus at the current Beth David location, including the synagogue, the Gordon School, extensive athletic facilities, and adaptable meeting spaces that will be open to the whole community. Construction is set to begin in the summer of 2023.
