Get into the spirit of Halloween with Spooky Symphony, Oct. 30

Celebrate Halloween with the Spooky Symphony, an exciting, imaginative, fun and free concert at Miami-Dade County Auditorium on Oct. 30. The concert is presented by The Children’s Trust.

Spooky Symphony is a one-hour free performance of great music for young listeners by Greater Miami Youth Symphony and the Alhambra Orchestra. Families and children will enjoy movie themes from Jurassic Park, Gladiator and Avengers sagas, plus Broadway music from Wicked, and dramatic classical showpieces with eerie themes including the famous Danse Macabre.

Video images will be projected behind the orchestra. Musicians and audience members are invited to come in costume to enhance the supernatural experience.

The Greater Miami Youth Symphony is conducted by Huifang Chen and The Alhambra Orchestra is conducted by Daniel Andai.

The concert begins at 4 p.m. Miami-Dade County Auditorium is located at 2901 West Flagler St., Miami, FL 33135.

Admission is free, but tickets are required. Tickets will be made available Sept.15 and beyond at the MDCA theater box office Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., or at www.Ticketmaster.com or by visiting the website at www.MiamiDadeCountyAuditorium.org.
